I used to have a Mitsubishi Galant, I wonder if it was made by these robots.

The ad agency that developed the Idea was BBDO in Toronto and the visual effects were done by The Mill.

I have not located the whereabouts of any basketball-playing-robots generator/plugins that I can get for Cinema 4D, have any of you?

When I saw these Sony ads on TV, I headed over and looked them up online immediately. I wanted to confirm that I witnessed the PS3 seamlessly sprout tentacles, shoot machine guns, evolve between organic and mechanical objects, blow my mind, etc.

(Direct link in case the youtube link doesn’t last.)

From the official Playstation Blog, “the icons and characters of the PS3 world come to life in the vivid black onyx world of the PS3 and nearly burst out of its seams.”

Yep, that sounds accurate.

I hope I will be able to work on something that cool someday. If I were good enough to do that, I would actually be able to buy a PS3.

****UPDATE*****

I found the studio that was behind the work; it was done by Superfad. Well done.

W.T.I.W.W.M. – Helio Ads

It stands for Work That I Wish Was Mine. When I see something online or on TV that I wish I was good enough to make, I’ll try and find a clip of it.

Helio is a newer cellphone company that seems to market towards younger people. I’m not really sure if they are popular enough to take a chunk out of the existing wireles providers like AT&T, Verizon, etc. But that doesn’t really matter because they have some really cool commercials.

I saw this one on TV the other day:

Very cool animation, it flows from start to finish and the animation actually helps to illustrate the points it makes about uploading to YouTube and Flickr.

There are a lot more of their ads on their YouTube page that follow the same style. Their ads are handled by Deutsch Inc. out of their Los Angeles office from what I’ve gathered.

The 3D animation in this is beyond my reach right now, I’m getting better at Cinema 4D but I’m not nearly good enough to put something together that is as nice as that.
